The Situation — the "Volume" of a Warehouse
If you've ever been inside a traditional SMT warehouse, you know exactly what this looks like.
Rack after rack filling the entire room, aisles so narrow people have to squeeze through
sideways, reels piled up like a maze — and even then, they're always saying there's not
enough room. Stocktaking stops the line. Hunting for material means running across the whole
floor. New reels arrive with nowhere to go; old ones sit forgotten in a corner. A warehouse
managing 6,000 reels takes at least 50–60 square meters to begin with.
The Solution — a Corner of the Shop Floor Is Enough
SUNNTOL's approach is completely different — double-deep matrix dense storage: 360 reels packed into every cubic meter, about 5× the density of traditional racking.
One machine — 7,500 mm long, 1,650 mm wide, footprint ≈ 12㎡ — holds 6,220 seven-inch
reels plus 600 thirteen-inch reels.

Why is 12㎡ enough?
Double-Deep Matrix Dense Storage
Traditional racks put one reel per shelf and leave aisles for people to walk. SUNNTOL uses a double-deep design — reels arranged front-and-back in a matrix — with automated machinery doing the access. Nobody walks inside, so aisle area drops to zero.
Modular Structure · Expand on Demand
Independent, detachable storage units let any size and thickness combine freely. After commissioning, modules of different thicknesses and sizes can be swapped in — no new equipment required.
7-inch, 12 mm reels in double-deep storage. For equal capacity, the footprint is about one-fifth of traditional racking.

Not Just Space — People, Too
The 12㎡ machine doesn't just "store" — it also scans inbound reels, counts them online with X-ray, auto-labels, retrieves automatically, syncs inventory in real time, enforces FIFO and blocks wrong reels. The whole flow is handled by one machine.
The work of 5–6 people — inbound, outbound, stocktaking, distribution, bookkeeping — is now done by one person at the console, cutting staffing by up to 80%.
What once needed a whole warehouse
